Update 21st Sept 2020

Dear all,

Update 21st September, 2020

Planning application 104 – 112 Hills Road 20/03429/FUL Comments due by Friday 25 September

Redevelopment of Betjeman House site 104- 112 Hills Road and Flying Pig Pub

As Peter Studdert, former Director of Cambridge City Council stated, this is a site of critical importance for Cambridge in a very prominent location.

Campaigner Luke Nashaat has listed key Cambridge Local Plan (2018) policies he believes the  application contravenes and also inaccuracies and  improprieties. He says the concerns about the alleged unlawfulness of the existing permission and the failure to master plan the site need to be raised now, because otherwise, if this application is rejected on planning grounds alone, simple amendment and re-submission will occur.

Luke asks: ‘Please forward to all who may be concerned and ask them to write to the planners and to members of the planning committee’
