Update 18th June 2024
Dear All,
Weds 19th June Hustings: The Future of Cambridge 6.30- 8pm
Just to remind everyone of tomorrow’s hustings.
We are delighted to report that ALL of our MP candidates are attending tomorrow.
Location: Friends Meeting House, 12 Jesus Lane Cambridge CB5 8BA
Friends of the Cam and FeCRA are hosting this event where you can ask
Parliamentary candidates competing for our vote questions about the future of
Cambridge: about the impact of growth on our communities, infrastructure and
nature, particularly rivers and water supply. Professor Mia Gray (University
of Cambridge) will chair the event and take questions from the floor after
each candidate has introduced their position on this topic.
Following the sell out success of Cambridge Friends of the Earth’s hustings
booking is now through Eventbrite here.
Be sure to book to ensure a place and come with questions for the candidates.

FeCRA petition to the Environment Agency to Save our Chalk Streams

This is gaining traction. Please support and share widely with your networks
and use the election hustings as an opportunity to ask local politicians for
their views on the environment. This is really important as central
government will set the priorities for the environment and for the
Environment Agency. Cambridge’s MP Daniel Zeichner is Shadow Minister for
Defra. He is member of the Labour Party’s Environmental
committee

Best wishes,
